Convert files without uploading them.

Your files never leave your device. Conversion runs right here in your browser — even in airplane mode.

No upload No limits No ads No signup

Three steps, zero uploads.

01

Drop your files

Photos, documents, anything. Drag them in or tap to browse.

02

Pick a format

Choose the output and, for images, a quality that suits you.

03

Download

Files convert instantly on your device. Save them or grab a .zip.

A Swiss safe, not a random website.

Most converters upload your bank statements, passports and private photos to a stranger's server. CovertFile can't — because it never asks for them. Don't take our word for it:

Works offline

Turn off Wi-Fi and it still works. No network path means nowhere for your files to go.

Nothing is sent

Open your browser's Network tab while you convert — it stays empty. No servers, no accounts.

No limits

Batch a thousand files or a single one. The only limit is your own device's memory.

Questions, answered.

Do my files get uploaded anywhere?

No. Conversion happens entirely inside your browser, on your own device. There is no server to upload to — you can watch the Network tab stay empty, or switch off Wi-Fi and see it still work.

Is there a file-size or count limit?

No limits. You can convert one file or a whole batch and download them as a .zip. The only real limit is how much memory your device has.

Does it cost anything? Do I need an account?

It's free and there is no signup. No trials, no subscriptions, no cards — and no ads.

Why are my iPhone photos in HEIC?

Apple switched to HEIC because it stores the same photo at roughly half the size of JPG. The trade-off is that many apps and Windows PCs can't open it — which is exactly what a HEIC to JPG conversion fixes.

Will converting reduce my image quality?

Only if you want it to. For lossy formats a quality slider lets you trade size for fidelity, with a before/after preview so you can see the result before you download.
